Astrology for September 2023 with Janet Parfitt
Welcome to September’s astrology and you’ll be pleased to know that Cerridwen is calming things down a bit this month. With the Sun in Virgo until the 23rd and Mercury in Virgo all month there has never been a better time to get organised. The positive side of Virgo is precision, order and method. The negative side is being picky and fussing over the very small details so much that you can lose the big picture and forget what you’re doing and why you’re doing it. Lose the temptation to fuss over the tiny things and keep your focus on your long-term goals.
Virgos are quite the perfectionist and can be especially hard on themselves. Cerridwen would say “You are good enough exactly as you are.” The medicine for the Virgo energy is in the depth and surrender of the opposite sign of Pisces. Let go of the things you cannot control.
The month starts with Venus turning direct on the 4th. Her long visit to the Underworld is over and She is back in our skies as the Morning Star. On the same day Jupiter turns retrograde. Jupiter is normally the planet of expansion but in this instance, I feel with five planets in Earth signs that the energy of Jupiter will contract for a while. Expansion cannot continue forever. If we expand too far too fast it makes things very unstable. But this Earth energy is about finding stability. For now, I would advise you to keep it real. There will be a time to go back to the big dreams but not quite yet.
There is a new Moon in Virgo on the 15th which is a great time to make new plans and start thinking about how you are going to implement them. As long as you are practical and work out the details, all will be well. On the same day, Mercury turns direct so plans that were stalled will start moving forward again.
On the 23rd the Sun enters Libra at the exact day of the Autumn Equinox when the Sun rises directly in the East and sets directly in the West. A perfect time to start thinking about how to restore order and harmony to your life.
On the 29th there is a full Moon in Aries. Aries rules the head in medical astrology and that is exactly how Arians tend to tackle the world; head first! Aries energy is of fresh beginnings and leadership. As the month comes to an end, it’s time to step into your power and become a way-shower for the path ahead.
With blessings,
